The Delhi government is trying to raise Rs 25 lakh by using the mulch from the trees of trees in the city’s Gulbarga area.
A tree has been chosen for the purpose, with its roots cloned from the surrounding forests.
The tree was planted by the Mulch Foundation and the tree has the roots clonally linked to a tree in the Gulbarshak Bazar in Bijnor.
This tree is owned by the Delhi Forest Department.
The tree will be planted in a small forest area and the funds will be raised for the Gulbharga Development Authority.
The money will be used for various programmes like building a conservatory and planting trees in other parts of the city.
